The Dawro of Ethiopia
The Dawro of Ethiopia, numbering about 891,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Omotic-speaking ethnolinguistic people of southwestern Ethiopia whose identity is rooted in the Dawro language, highland agriculture, regional historical traditions, and the cultural heritage of the Dawro Zone.
They are an indigenous people in the Omotic people cluster of the Horn of Africa Peoples. Their primary religion is Tewahedo Orthodox Christianity, and they primarily speak Dawro.
