The Gedeo of Ethiopia
The Gedeo of Ethiopia, numbering about 1,595,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnolinguistic people of southern Ethiopia, best known for their dense highland settlement, sophisticated indigenous agroforestry, and a strong cultural identity rooted in Cushitic traditions.
They are an indigenous people in the Sidama people cluster of the Horn of Africa Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Gedeo.
