The Tuburi of Chad
The Tuburi of Chad, numbering about 297,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Chadian people whose ancestors fled Fulbe slave raiders into the lowlands around Fianga, historically ruled from the village of Dore by kings called Wang Dore, sustaining a livelihood built on cattle, fishing, and terraced millet and sorghum farming.
They are an indigenous people in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Tupuri.
