The Runga of Chad
The Runga of Chad, numbering about 70,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Maban-speaking people related to the Masalit and Maba, inhabiting the Chad-Sudan-Central African Republic border region that formed the historic heartland of the Wadai Sultanate from the early sixteenth century until its 1911 conquest by France.
They are an indigenous people in the Ouaddai-Fur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Runga.
