The Mpade of Chad
The Mpade of Chad, numbering about 6,300 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Kotoko people of the Chari River valley near Nigeria who identify as Kotoko proper, descendants of the Sao civilization whose kingdom, founded around 1500, was absorbed into the Bornu Empire under warlord Rabih al-Zubayr, mixing Islam with folk religion.
They are an indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Mpade.
