The Mahwa of Chad
The Mahwa of Chad, numbering about 16,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a language of Chad, Guéra region, Guéra Department, Bitkine Subprefecture, about 30 km south of Bitkine, centered around the village of Mahoua.
They are an indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Mawa (Chad).
