The Hausa of Chad
The Hausa of Chad, numbering about 295,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a West African diaspora people of Hausa origin, descended from communities rooted in Hausaland of northern Nigeria and southern Niger who established trading communities in Chad while maintaining a broader Hausa identity.
They are a diaspora people in the Hausa people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Hausa.
