The Dendje of Chad
The Dendje of Chad, numbering about 10,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Kaba Na-speaking Sara people of Chad's Moyen-Chari Prefecture, descended from Nile Valley migrants who fled Arab raiders, later subjected to Bagirmi slave raids and, under French Equatorial Africa, to forced labor on the Congo-Ocean Railroad.
They are an indigenous people in the Sara-Bagirmi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Sara Kaba Náà.
