The Dangaleat of Chad
The Dangaleat of Chad, numbering about 114,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are the namesake people of the East Chadic Dangaleat tongue, one of Chad's fifteen Hadjarai groups native to the hilly Guera and Batha regions, whose tonal speech divides into mutually difficult central, eastern, and western dialects.
They are an indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Dangaléat.
