The Dai of Chad
The Dai of Chad, numbering about 163,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Dai sub-tribe of the Sara people in southern Chad between the Logone River and Lake Iro, descended from the Sao who fled Arab slave traders on the Nile's northeastern banks to resettle the region in the 1500s.
They are an indigenous people in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Day.
