The Bon Gula of Chad

The Bon Gula of Chad, numbering about 3,900 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small Chadic people near Chad's Zakouma National Park, the only ethnic group not relocated when the reserve was established, devoted to the pre-Islamic Marghai religion with reverence for sacred mountains and snakes despite nominal Muslim identity.

They are an indigenous people in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Bon Gula.
