The Wetamut of Vanuatu

The Wetamut of Vanuatu, numbering about 350 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a small community of about 250 on the south coast of Gaua Island in Vanuatu's Banks Islands, whose village and threatened Oceanic language are today both known as Dorig, formerly called Wetamut.

They are an indigenous people in the Vanuatu people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Wetamut.
