The Vatrata of Vanuatu
The Vatrata of Vanuatu, numbering about 1,600 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a small Oceanic people of western Vanua Lava in Vanuatu's Banks Islands, one of four indigenous languages surviving on an island noted for extreme linguistic fragmentation, traditionally tied to the region's shell-money sukwe graded society.
They are an indigenous people in the Vanuatu people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Vera'a.
