The Tasiko of Vanuatu
The Tasiko of Vanuatu, numbering about 550 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Melanesian people of northeastern Epi Island whose Tasiko dialect of Lewo was one of the first Vanuatu languages ever written, via an 1892 Presbyterian translation of Matthew, after disease outbreaks cut the island's population by over 90 percent.
They are an indigenous people in the Vanuatu people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Lewo.
