The Yoy of Thailand
The Yoy of Thailand, numbering about 6,300 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Tai-Kadai people of Thailand's Nakhon Phanom and Sakon Nakhon provinces near the Lao border, whose oral tradition traces ancestral migration from the Champasak area of Laos, blending nominal Buddhism with continued spirit-respect practices.
They are an indigenous people in the Tai people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Yoy.
