The Chong of Thailand
The Chong of Thailand, numbering about 700 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Pearic-speaking Mon-Khmer people of eastern Thailand's Chanthaburi and Trat provinces, inhabiting these forests since at least the 14th-century Ayutthaya era and possibly predating the Khmer as the region's earliest settlers.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Chong.
