The Taungyo of Myanmar
The Taungyo of Myanmar, numbering about 100,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Bamar-related people of Myanmar's Shan State centered on Pindaya, officially recognized among the state's ethnic groups despite cultural ties to the Bamar rather than the dominant Shan.
They are an indigenous people in the Burmese people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Theravada Buddhism, and they primarily speak Taungyo.
