The Tanjong of Malaysia
The Tanjong of Malaysia, numbering about 250 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Orang Ulu people of Sarawak's Rajang River tributaries, practicing swidden rice cultivation unlike their sago-producing coastal Melanau relatives, with whom they share close linguistic ties as one of eleven Melanau dialect groups.
They are an indigenous people in the Borneo-Kalimantan people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Kanowit-Tanjong Melanau.
