The Duano of Malaysia

The Duano of Malaysia, numbering about 4,300 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an Orang Asli sea-nomad people of Johor's river-mouth villages, properly called Duano, descended from Muslim immigrants from southern Sumatra and the Riau-Lingga archipelago, traditionally living aboard boats and gathering shellfish with mud-boards.

They are an indigenous people in the Borneo-Kalimantan people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Malay (individual language).
