The Tai Loi of Laos
The Tai Loi of Laos, numbering about 600 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a nearly extinct mountain community of Laos's Luang Namtha province, originating along the Yunnan-Myanmar borderlands, speaking one of several Palaung-Wa varieties known collectively as mountain Tai in Shan.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Tai Loi.
