The Lamet of Laos
The Lamet of Laos, numbering about 28,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an indigenous Palaungic people of northwestern Laos, concentrated in Luang Namtha, Oudomxay, and Bokeo provinces, with longstanding regional ties through trade and labor migration.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Rmeet.
