The Khua of Laos
The Khua of Laos, numbering about 4,600 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a West Katuic people of Khammouan Province near Vietnam, whose branch split from Vieto-Katuic around 1000 BC, weaving bark-fiber clothing and organizing villages around a communal house dedicated to forest spirits, the Rice Mother, and ancestors.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Khua.
