The Salang of Laos
The Salang of Laos, numbering about 1,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Bahnaric-speaking highland people of southern Laos's Attapu province, known as Salang on the Lao side and Halang across the border in Vietnam's Kon Tum province, part of the broader Lao Theung highland ethnic cluster.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Halang.
