The Bo of Laos
The Bo of Laos, numbering about 5,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a people of central Laos's Bolikhamxai and Khammouane provinces whose name means mine, reflecting origins as a Mon-Khmer mining tribe, divided into Tai Bo and Kha Bo branches that both originally spoke a Vietic language before switching to Tai speech.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Bo (Laos).
