The Masadiit Itneg of the Philippines
The Masadiit Itneg of the Philippines, numbering about 11,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are one of twelve ethnolinguistic subgroups of the Itneg, or Tingguian, people among Abra province's earliest inhabitants, pushed inland from Luzon's coast by colonial pressure in the 1500s and 1600s, preserving mourning rituals called Canchannag and Fukaang.
They are an indigenous people in the Filipino Tribal people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Masadiit Itneg.
