The Tsou of Taiwan

The Tsou of Taiwan, numbering about 6,800 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Austronesian people of Taiwan's Alishan mountains whose clans trace migration from the Yushan peak to the Chianan Plain, forming their first multi-clan settlement of Tfuya around 1600, marked today by the Homeyaya and Mayasvi festivals.

They are an indigenous people in the Taiwan Indigenous people cluster of the East Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Tsou.
