The Ami of Taiwan
The Ami of Taiwan, numbering about 216,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are the largest Indigenous people of Taiwan, traditionally organized around a matrilineal kinship system in which property and clan leadership passed through mothers and daughters, centered in the coastal valley between the Central and Coastal mountain ranges.
They are an indigenous people in the Taiwan Indigenous people cluster of the East Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Amis.
