The Wopu of China

The Wopu of China, numbering about 4,800 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an indigenous Yi subgroup of western Guizhou and eastern Yunnan, known as the Da Hei Yi and historically distinguished by a stratified social system and Wopu language.

They are an indigenous people in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Chinese Folk Religion, and they primarily speak Wusa Nasu.
