The Nghari Tibetans of China
The Nghari Tibetans of China, numbering about 84,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Tibetan people of western Tibet's Ngari region whose nomadic communities developed on the high Chang Tang plateau, maintaining a distinct Tibetan language variety and identity shaped by the historic cultures of western Tibet.
They are an indigenous people in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Tibetan Buddhism, and they primarily speak Tibetan.
