The Ongkor of China

The Ongkor of China, numbering about 25 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Ewenki-related Solon community near Yining in Xinjiang, descended from troops sent west from Manchuria in 1763 and now largely assimilated after the loss of its Ongkor language.

They are an indigenous people in the Chinese people cluster of the East Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Chinese Folk Religion, and they primarily speak Mandarin Chinese.
