The Lupanshui Miao of China
The Lupanshui Miao of China, numbering about 78,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Miao people of western Guizhou descended from migrants from Hunan who retained a Xiang Chinese dialect rather than a Miao language, forming a distinct identity separate from neighboring Miao communities.
They are an indigenous people in the Miao / Hmong people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Xiang Chinese.
