The Laka of China
The Laka of China, numbering about 9,700 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Yi-related people of northern Yunnan who emerged as a distinct community through historical separation from the Naluo and maintain a separate Laka identity rooted in their former status within the Nasu social order.
They are an indigenous people in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Wusa Nasu.
