The Gepo of China
The Gepo of China, numbering about 101,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Yi-related people of Yunnan who developed a distinct identity and language despite official inclusion in the Yi nationality, and are known by the autonym Gepo, meaning “white people”.
They are an indigenous people in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Chinese Folk Religion, and they primarily speak Wusa Nasu.
