The Geman Deng of China, numbering about 16,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small, distinct indigenous people of southeastern Tibet (China) who form one branch of the broader Deng / Mishmi cultural complex, which extends across China, India, and Myanmar.
They are an indigenous people in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Chinese Folk Religion, and they primarily speak Miju-Mishmi.
