The Rumai De`ang of China
The Rumai De`ang of China, numbering about 6,300 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a distinct ethnolinguistic subgroup of the De’ang people of southwest China, closely related to the Palaung (Ta’ang) peoples of northern Myanmar.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Mahayana Buddhism, and they primarily speak Rumai Palaung.
