The Bateri of Pakistan
The Bateri of Pakistan, numbering about 49,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Kohistani people of Pakistan's Swat region, historically known as Oddiyana, conquered by Yousafzai Pashtuns in the early sixteenth century and later part of the princely State of Swat until its 1969 dissolution into what is now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
They are an indigenous people in the Kashmiri people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Bateri.
