The Southwestern Tamang of Nepal
The Southwestern Tamang of Nepal, numbering about 196,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a language of Nepal, Narayani zone: west Makwanpur and Chitawan districts, and south and southwest.
They are an indigenous people in the South Himalayan people cluster of the Himalayan Peoples. Their primary religion is Tibetan Buddhism, and they primarily speak Eastern Tamang.
