The Chepang of Nepal

The Chepang of Nepal, numbering about 69,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Tibeto-Burman people of central Nepal's Mahabharat range, traditionally semi-nomadic hunters whose name combines che, meaning dog, and pang, meaning arrow, who are reclaiming their original identity after King Birendra renamed them Praja in 1977.

They are an indigenous people in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Chepang.
