The Koch of Bangladesh
The Koch of Bangladesh, numbering about 7,100 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a trans-border Boro-Garo people of the Assam-Meghalaya-Bangladesh borderlands organized into nine matrilineal clans, descended from a dynasty that ruled Lower Assam from 1515 to 1949, distinct from the Hinduized Rajbanshi who share their ancestry.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Koch.
