The Hajong of Bangladesh
The Hajong of Bangladesh, numbering about 9,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Bodo-Kachari-descended, Hindu, rice-farming people of the Bengal-Assam-Meghalaya borderlands credited with introducing wet-field cultivation to the Garo Hills, many of whom fled religious persecution into India during the 1960s.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Hajong.
